Save the date. We'll send all the details soon.
Here are the basics to help with trip planning ahead of time.
Only TAP Air Portugal flies direct from Lisbon to Confins (CNF), Belo Horizonte's airport. The simplest and fastest route. From CNF it's about 3h drive to Tiradentes.
For São Paulo (GRU), Campinas (VCP) or Rio de Janeiro (GIG) there are more options: TAP, LATAM, Azul and Gol. Usually cheaper. From there, a domestic connection to Belo Horizonte or drive directly to Tiradentes.
The most direct route: fly Aer Lingus, TAP or Ryanair to Lisbon, then connect with TAP direct to Belo Horizonte. Worth looking for TAP codeshare tickets, with everything on one booking.
Another option is to connect through London, Amsterdam, Paris, Madrid, Frankfurt or Rome to São Paulo or Rio de Janeiro. Good deals with KLM, BA, Air France, Iberia, Lufthansa and ITA Airways. Then a domestic flight or drive to Tiradentes.
From any European city, the simplest route goes through Lisbon (LIS), connecting with TAP direct to Belo Horizonte (CNF). TAP, Ryanair, easyJet and Vueling cover Europe to Lisbon well. From CNF, ~3h drive to Tiradentes.
If there's no direct flight to Lisbon from your city, the major European hubs (London, Amsterdam, Paris, Madrid, Frankfurt and Rome) have daily flights to São Paulo or Rio. From there, a domestic flight or drive to Tiradentes.
The most practical option for those coming from far. Several car rental companies at Confins (CNF) and in the city centre. Allows you to explore the region at leisure (Bichinho, São João del-Rei, Ouro Preto).
Viação São Luiz runs regular services from Belo Horizonte to São João del-Rei, the city next to Tiradentes. From SJDR it's ~15 km by taxi or local bus to Tiradentes (about 25 min).
Azul has resumed commercial flights to Presidente Itamar Franco Airport (QDF) in São João del-Rei, just ~15 km from Tiradentes. The closest airport option to the venue: ~15 min by taxi. Operates Mondays, Fridays and Sundays from August 2026.
Short flights from Galeão (GIG) or Santos Dumont (SDU) to Confins (CNF), with good frequency throughout the day. From Confins, ~3h drive to Tiradentes.
The road from Rio to Tiradentes is calm and scenic, passing through Juiz de Fora and Barbacena. Great for those who prefer not to fly, or for groups travelling together.
Companies like Útil and Paraibuna run overnight routes from Rio to São João del-Rei, the neighbouring city. A great budget option, arriving in the morning. From SJDR it's ~15 km by taxi to Tiradentes (~25 min).
